The hospital or authorised surgical facility is selected according to the procedure, anaesthesia and patient’s medical needs. The final facility should be confirmed before travel.
Questions to ask
- Is the facility authorised for the planned surgery and anaesthesia?
- Who provides anaesthesia and postoperative monitoring?
- What happens if admission or additional treatment is required?
- Who maintains the operation and discharge records?
Hotel-style amenities and promotional photographs do not replace clinical governance, emergency planning and qualified staff.
