Patient Safety
Safety begins with patient selection
Smoking, clotting history, heart or lung disease, diabetes, anaemia, medicines, previous surgery and unrealistic expectations may change or prevent an elective surgical plan. Full disclosure is essential.
Informed consent
Patients should understand the operation, alternatives, permanent scars, recovery demands, possible complications and potential need for revision. No aesthetic operation is risk-free and no result can be guaranteed.
Urgent concerns
Chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden leg swelling, heavy bleeding, high fever or rapidly worsening pain require urgent medical assessment.
